CLEVELAND — Heavy bands of lake effect snow continue to impact the northeast Ohio Snowbelt today, with some areas seeing as much as 8-12" just in the next 12 hours or so.

What You Need To Know

  • Lake effect snow continues in northeast Ohio today

  • Some areas could see up to a foot of snow in the next 12 hours

  • Avoid the snowbelt if possible, particularly Lake County on Highway 20 or I-90

If you can avoid traveling in the primary snowbelt, especially Lake county along Highway 20 or I-90, that's for the best. One to two inches of snow per hour is likely with some of the heavier bands, leading to dangerous roadways and poor visibility.

We'll continue to see bands of lake effect snow through Tuesday, and a Lake Effect Snow warning remains in effect through Tuesday morning.
