HARRISBURG, N.C. -- Local firefighters pulled together a special surprise party for a young boy at the Harrisburg Fire Station.

The firefighters received a call from the boy's mother asking if she could bring him by the station to look at the fire trucks.

She mentioned that it was the boy's third birthday but all but one of his birthday guests had canceled on him.

The firefighters quickly pulled together balloons and cupcakes for him upon arrival.

He got to tour the station and rig, as well as have 15 Harrisburg members sing him happy birthday and watch him blow out his candles.

Thanks to the firefighters, it turned out to be a birthday the boy will likely never forget.
