Cincinnati, OH -- When you think of farming in Ohio, you probably largely think of corn fields and soybeans.

But in the heart of Cincinnati is an indoor farm growing all types of greens, herbs, and vine crops.

Vertical farming is revolutionizing how food gets to the marketplace.

  • Vertical Indoor Farming Revolutionizing Food distribution
  • 80 Acres of Farming in Approximately One Acre
  • 97% Less Water than Traditional Farming
  • Zero Pesticides

Five miles from downtown Cincinnati is a farm.  A farm growing up... literally and figuratively.

80 Acres Farms, a place where 80 acres of growth is happening in a spot equivalent to about an acre.

The hydroponic delivery system, L-E-D lighting, and a fully controlled environment allows for plants to grow 365 days a year...

without big tractors, large water supplies, and near-perfect weather conditions for harvest.

80 Acres Farms has four locations across the U-S, and will soon expand into Hamilton with two buildings. It will become the largest

fully-automated indoor farming facility in the U-S. That means more fresh produce to local grocery stores and restaurants.

Most produce found in U-S stores comes from California and even outside the U-S, and shipping time can take more than a week depending on where it's going.

Industry experts believe some food items can lose half of their nutritional value during transit to the marketplace. 80 Acres does not deliver farther than 50 miles.

Vertical farming at 80 Acres eliminates food miles and food waste, and keeps locally grown products in local stores.

80 Acres harvests crops twice a week, year-round, using 97% less water than traditional farming and 100% renewable energy.
