WORCESTER, Mass. - Some Worcester elementary school students were met with water balloons as they walked out of school on their last day.
Erin Arvizu put together a fun event for the students at Flagg Street school to celebrate the last day of school.
Arvizu has two children at Flagg Street and brought a cooler filled with hundreds of water balloons for the kids to throw at each other.
She says it's been a tough year for the kids and wanted them to enjoy the day.
"This is something I do with my kids all the time,” Arvizu said. “We'll fill up water balloons randomly to throw when dad gets home. My kids will get a kick out of it. I hope a bunch of other ones do, too."
Students at Flagg Street returned to in-person learning on May 3.
