WORCESTER, Mass. - Mother's Day is Sunday and many businesses are doing last minute preparations ahead of the day.
Holmes-Shusas Florist in Worcester said despite the pandemic, Mother's Day last year was actually one of their busiest.
Owner Paul Shusas said he's been in the business for 64 years and has never seen anything like it.
Shusas is thankful things are opening back up, but they still provide online services.
“It’s such a variety and what we do is we put a lot of our own signatures arrangements online and there is 25 or 30 different things before you get into the tele-flora type of arrangements. Things we know our customers like. There are some people who just want orchids, some people want lilies, some people want roses or a combination vernaculars, Gerber daises. All the different things that we know from past experience that people will be looking for,” said Shusas.
Shusas said they have recently been able to start providing flowers for events like weddings and proms, which were mostly all canceled last year.
