ANAHEIM, Calif. (CNS) — Former Anaheim City Councilman and Anaheim Union High School District board member Jordan Brandman was found dead at his Anaheim home at the age of 43, officials confirmed Saturday.
Orange County coroner’s personnel were sent to Brandman’s home at about 10 p.m. Friday, authorities confirmed to City News Service. City officials told the OC Register that there were no signs of foul play.
“It is with sorrow and sadness that we learned of the passing of former Councilmember Brandman,” Anaheim Mayor Ashleigh Aitken said in a statement. “Any loss of life in our city is a tragedy, and my heart goes out to all who knew Jordan and who are now coping with the news of his passing.”
Brandman, a Democrat, was elected to the council in 2012, and was defeated for reelection in 2016. He won the seat back in 2018 and stepped down in 2021.
He served on the school district’s Board of Trustees from 2008-12.
